Check out this #TBT photo of 2nd Street in BS from 1929. Vintage photos are so interesting! If you look right in the middle of the photo, you’ll see Currie’s Ice Cream. That’s on the corner of 2nd and Park (about where the Watch & Clock Center, Inc. now stands.) Love the classic cars. And, looks like free parking!

It appears there is a “Chop Suey” restaurant closer in the foreground. Looks like that might be around Thai Gourmet. Intriguing that it was the location of two different Asian restaurants from two different eras.

You can also see there is a street car rail running right down the middle of the street. imagine if the train ran down 2nd Street these days. As if it isn’t already hectic enough!

These buildings have stood the test of time, even if the occupants have been varied (or not.) Wonder how it will look in another almost 100 years…?
