Scary Mary

I can’t believe it’s already the middle of October! Have you been to the Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor yet? It opened October 1st, and runs nightly through November 1st. It’s the Queen Mary’s annual Halloween event featuring monsters, mazes, music and more! There are 6 mazes, a few stages, a swing ride, a hookah lounge, a couple of bars (beer, wine, liquor,) and food of course!

Know before you go: I heard you can get discount passes on Groupon and at Costco. Ladies, get out your Converse; this is no place for those stilettos! It’s hot out, and can hotter get waiting in line, or inside the mazes, so dress comfortably. Take the (FREE!) Passport from downtown to avoid parking hassles. Spend the extra moolah to get the VIP express pass, so you won’t have to wait so long in lines. Get there early.

They also have hotel packages that include your room rate and admission tickets. Now, this might be even scarier than the attraction. The Queen Mary is one of the world’s most haunted places, with as many as 150 spirits lurking on the ship. So stay aboard if you dare. You never know who you might encounter…
