Who loves the beach?! Who loves to swim?! Who loves to do it in 50-degree water in the middle of January?! WAH-WAMP. This Saturday (tomorrow) The Community Action Team is holding their annual Polar Splash at Granada Beach after the 200th Monthly 30-Minute Beach Clean Up.
A group of everyone
crazy brave enough will gather on the beach and at the word “Go!,” participants will run into the water and submerge themselves into the freezing Pacific Ocean. It’s free, but you must register. And, for groups of 20 or more people, CAT will donate $5 per person in the group to a charity of their choice.
So, put on your speedo and your parka, and get out there for a nice refreshing swim! Or, if you’re like me, your sweats and beanie, and cheer them on…
